Dosage
Oral administration 1. Adults take 0.5 g once, four times a day. 2. Children should take it four times a day according to their body weight of 25 ~ 50mg/kg.
Adverse effect
1. Allergic urticaria and other rashes are common, and leukopenia, interstitial nephritis, asthma attack and serum sickness type reaction (type III allergic reaction) can occur in a few patients. Individual patients may have anaphylactic shock, and once anaphylactic shock occurs, they must be rescued on the spot, keep the airway open, take oxygen and be treated with epinephrine and glucocorticoid.
2. A few patients may have abdominal distension, loss of appetite, and even nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea and other symptoms.
3. Individual patients may have leukopenia and neutropenia or cholestatic jaundice.
4. Occasionally double infection caused by Candida or Gram-negative bacilli.
Taboo
People with a history of allergic reaction to penicillin drugs or patients with positive penicillin skin test are prohibited.
Matters need attention
Patients with allergic diseases such as asthma, eczema, hay fever and urticaria should use this product with caution.
Before using Cloxacillim Sodium Capsules, it is necessary to inquire about the history of drug allergy in detail and conduct penicillin skin test.
Patients who are allergic to one kind of penicillin may be allergic to other penicillins or penicillamine, and patients who are allergic to penicillin may be cross-allergic to cephalosporins.
The dosage of Cloxacillim Sodium Capsules does not need to be adjusted when patients with mild to moderate renal dysfunction take it, but the dosage of this product should be appropriately reduced when renal function is seriously decreased.
Drug interaction
1. Antibacterial drugs such as chloramphenicol, erythromycin, tetracycline and sulfanilamide can interfere with the bactericidal activity of penicillin, so it is not suitable to be used together with Cloxacillim Sodium Capsules and other penicillin drugs, especially in the treatment of meningitis or serious infection in urgent need of fungicides.
2. Probenecid, aspirin, indomethacin, phenylbutazone and sulfanilamide can reduce the excretion of Cloxacillim Sodium Capsules in renal tubules, increase the blood concentration of this product, prolong the serum half-life and increase the toxicity.
