Rectal Suppository

Also, for hemorrhoid treatment, rectal suppositories are used.

Vaginal Suppository

Suppositories directly inserted in the vagina are referred to as vaginal suppositories. They are usually inserted with the help of a plastic applicator. These vaginal suppositories turn liquid and start inducing their effect as they go into the vagina due to the temperature change. These suppositories have proved effective in treating fungal infections and vaginal dryness. A: Avoid exercise or vigorous movement for 60 minutes after inserting the medication. Do not use petroleum jelly, such as Vaseline, to lubricate the suppository. This stops it from melting. Only use water, or a water-based lubricant.
