Dosage
- Balsamiasis, 0.2g a time, 2 times a day, treatment for 5 days.
- Giardiasis, 0.4g once, 3 times a day, treatment course 5-10 days.
- Guinea worm disease, 0.2g a time, 3 times a day, the course of 7 days.
- Intestinal amoebiasis, 0.4-0.6g, 3 times a day, the course of treatment for 7 days; Extrauterine amebiasis, 0.6-0.8g, 3 times a day, the course of treatment 20 days.
- Skin leishmaniasis, 0.2g a time, 4 times a day, the course of 10 days. Repeat the treatment after 10 days.
- Trichomoniasis, 0.2g a time, 4 times a day, treatment for 7 days; Suppository can be used at the same time, 0.5g per night into the vagina, 7-10 days.

Adverse effect
Adverse reactions occurred in 15%-30% of cases, with gastrointestinal reactions being the most common. Including nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, abdominal cramps, generally do not affect treatment.
Neurological symptoms include headache and dizziness. Occasionally there are paresthesia, limb numbness, ataxia, multiple neuritis, etc. Large doses can cause convulsions.
A few cases of urticaria, flushing, pruritus, cystitis, dysuria, metallic taste in the mouth and leukopenia, etc., are reversible, self-recovery after withdrawal.
Matters need attention
1. Interference with diagnosis: metabolites of this product can make urine dark red.
2. The dose of the original liver disease should be reduced. Discontinue the drug if dyskinesia or other central nervous system symptoms occur. A white blood cell count should be done before repeating a course of treatment. In patients with anaerobic bacteria infection combined with renal failure, the dosing interval should be extended from 8 hours to 12 hours.
3. This product can inhibit alcohol metabolism, should abstain from alcohol during drug use. Abdominal pain, vomiting, headache and other symptoms may occur after drinking alcohol.
4. Strictly prohibited for food and feed processing.
