Indications of Cefoperazone Sodium and Sulbactam Sodium
Simple treatment:
Cefoperazone sodium and Sulbactam sodium for injection are indicated for treatment of bacterial infections at the following sites: -Upper and lower respiratory tract infections. -Upper and lower genitourinary tract infections.
-Peritonitis, cholecystitis, biliary tract infections and other intra-abdominal infections. -Meningitis.
-Skin and soft tissue infections. -Bacteral septicemia.
-Bone and joint infections
-Pelvic inflammatory disease ,endometritis, gonorrhea and other genital infections. Combination treatment:
As Cefoperazone sodium and Sulbactam sodium for injection has broad-spectrum, only used alone substance can treatment most of infections conditions. However, CEFOPERAZONE SODIUM AND SULBACTAM SODIUM FOR INJECTION can be combinated with other antibiotics if necessary. Should check renal function during duration treatment combinating with aminoglycoside
Contraindications of Cefoperazone sodium and sulbactam sodiumon:
Hypersensitivity to penicillin, sulbactam, cefoperazone or cephalosporin groups.
Precautions of Cefoperazone sodium and sulbactam sodium
Severely hypersensitivity occasionally cause death have been reported in patient receiving beta-lactam orcephalosporin. This occur in patient who allergy to many different allergens. If hypersensitivity reactionoccur , this medicine should be stoped and treatment susceptible.
When severe anaphylaxis occur, have to give emergency aid immediately by epinephrin.
Pregnancy And Lactation
Cephalosporins are usually considered safe to use during prignancy.
There are,however,no adequate and well controlled studies in pregnant women, Cefoperazone sodium and Sulbactam sodium for injection should be used during pregnancy only if clearly need.
Safety in breast feeding
Sulbactam/cefoperazone is excreted into breast milk in low concentrations. It is considered unlikely thatthis has any effects on the nursing infant , but there should be attention given if the infant developsdiarrhoea, thrush and rashes.
